We are grateful to introduce you to Yuri and Juliana Karamaneshta, missionaries serving in Scotland, where God has called them to bring the hope of the gospel to Ukrainian refugees living far from their homeland.
A Calling Among the Displaced
As Yuri and Juliana minister among refugees, they see daily the deep wounds left by war, displacement, fear, and uncertainty. Many around them have lost hope and are searching for meaning and stability. In this need, they clearly recognize God’s calling—to bring light, to testify about Christ, and to shepherd Ukrainians living in dispersion.
Church Planting and Evangelistic Ministry
Yuri and Juliana are currently involved in planting a new church, focused primarily on reaching Ukrainian refugees. Alongside church ministry, they actively organize:
- Evangelistic meetings and presentations
- Outreach events and personal evangelism

Juliana is also the author of ten books, which are regularly used as part of their ministry to encourage faith and open conversations about the gospel.
Using Gospel Today Resources
The Karamans actively use printed materials from Gospel Today and lead Bible studies through The Story of Hope course. This step-by-step approach helps people clearly understand God’s plan and the message of the gospel, often guiding them toward a living faith in Christ.
A Place of Fellowship and Hope
By God’s grace, Yuri and Juliana now have a physical space where people can gather. Through this space, they have established a Ukrainian café and created opportunities for:
- Children’s ministry
- Book presentations and exhibitions
- Community fairs
- Shared meals and fellowship

Through these gatherings, people find care, belonging, and a place where they can encounter genuine Christian community.
A Request for Prayer
Yuri and Juliana ask for prayer—for God’s blessing, for wisdom, and for continued guidance as they seek to serve more effectively. We thank God for their faithfulness and for their commitment to bringing hope and the gospel to those who need it most.
