We are delighted to introduce you to Artem and Violeta Voloshyn and little Bohdan—a family whose lives and ministry have become a deeply valued part of The Gospel Today. Their story is one of God’s grace, transformation, and a wholehearted desire to serve Christ by sharing the hope of the gospel with others.

From Pivden to Odesa
Artem was born in the city of Pivden, not far from Odesa. Although he grew up in a non-religious family, God planted the seeds of faith early in his life through his aunt, who was a believer. She faithfully told him about Christ throughout his childhood, and those early conversations took root. Sadly, her life was taken by a Russian missile in 2025.
It wasn’t until Artem was 24 that these seeds blossomed into genuine faith. At that time, he surrendered his life to Christ, beginning a journey that would soon shape his family and his calling.
In 2020, Artem married Violeta, and together they moved to Odesa, where they began actively serving in Skynia Church. Their time in Skynia was foundational—an opportunity to grow, minister, and learn. It was also a meaningful connection point, as Caleb Suko once served in that same church. Artem was ordained as pastor/teacher in 2025.

Called Into Ministry With Gospel Today
For the past three years, Artem and Violeta have served faithfully with Gospel Today.
Artem’s Ministry
Artem provides leadership in several key areas:
- Bible Study groups coordinator — Artem helped write and produce our chronological Bible study. He coordinates around 35 groups all over Ukraine who used this material.
- Writing & Content Creation — Artem contributes articles, devotionals, and theological reflections for our website and evangelistic magazines.
- Seminar facilitation — Artem often co-leads seminars on evangelism for local churches in Ukraine.
Artem’s love for Scripture and theology runs deep. His passion for the Puritans, in particular, became an unexpected point of connection with Caleb during their very first meeting.
After a sermon, Artem approached Caleb and said, “We actually have mutual acquaintances.” When Caleb asked who, Artem replied:
“They’re about 350 years old… the Puritans.”
This sparked an immediate bond around a shared love for historic Christian writers. As Caleb explained,
“There aren’t many Christian authors who are 350 years old and still relevant today.”
That humorous first conversation later blossomed into a partnership in ministry, and today Artem serves as an essential part of the Gospel Today mission.
Violeta’s Ministry
Violeta serves as a text editor for Gospel Today. She works across a wide range of materials:
- Website articles
- Evangelistic magazines
- Bible study resources
- Short courses
- And the complete Story of Hope course
Her work ensures that everything Gospel Today publishes is clear, polished, and accessible. Her gifts are an invaluable contribution to our mission’s quality and effectiveness.
