Not too long ago the city of Karlsruhe, Germany, became a beacon of hope as the Grace of God Evangelical Church, led by Pastor Anatoliy Kuza, hosted a transformative seminar titled “Evangelism Above All.” About 50 participants from across Germany gathered for a full day of teaching, discussion, and reflection on the central calling of every believer - to boldly proclaim the Good News. In the seminar, Gospel Today magazines were used to help train them for evangelism.,

Equipping Believers to Share the Gospel
From the start, the seminar’s structure was designed for engagement. Pastor Kuza guided the group through theological reflection on the foundation of evangelism, and participants then broke into small groups for personal discussion. Each group explored practical challenges: fears of rejection, cultural barriers, and how to articulate the gospel clearly in a secular society. The day culminated in an open Q&A, where participants asked pressing questions and received practical, faith-filled answers.

Attendees came from various backgrounds: young believers seeking their first steps in evangelism, pastors of established congregations, and those who had once stumbled in their witness but now felt renewed purpose. Kostiantyn, a small group leader, shared how he broke free from past discouragement. Oleksandr, a deacon in Karlsruhe, said he discovered new insights that he was eager to apply. And Serhii, a pastor from Freiburg, was especially moved by the session on spiritual nourishment—reminding all that a healthy church life is about both listening to good teaching and sharing the gospel boldly.

Strengthening the Church’s Mission
The seminar also highlighted something larger: the growing relevance of evangelism within Ukrainian churches in Germany. As these churches continue to multiply—often rising from displacement—this seminar was a reminder that small, faithful steps can spark lasting movements. Gospel Today will continue to equip churches with the tools they need, offering both practical training and a renewed vision for evangelism in a changing world.
